Woodson Art Museum buy bronze sculpture from Mark Dedrie

"GREAT NEWS" The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum has decided to purchase my Sword-billed Hummingbird for their permanent collection. The Woodson Art Museum is not just another museum, it is home to the annual Birds in Art exhibition. This exhibition, where Mark Dedrie's sword-billed hummingbird can be admired, runs until December 1, 2019. The organization expects more than 16,000 visitors. After the exhibition, the Sword-billed Hummingbird goes "on tour" to the Wichita Falls Museum of Art in Texas, the Newington-Cropsey Foundation in New York and finally the Wendell Gilley Museum in Maine. Then it returns to the Woodson Art Museum collection.

The making of I AM THE BEST

In June we had big news: two works by Mark Dedrie are included in famous international exhibitions. "Sword-billed Hummingbird" moves to Birds in Art at the Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, USA. And "Grouse" travels to Art and the Animal at The Briscoe Western Art Museum in San Antonio, Texas.
